SAT / PSAT Prep For Sophomores

You've got some time before the SAT, and there are plenty of prep options. You may want to consider taking the PSAT in October of your sophomore year or you can take it in the fall of your junior year. Either way, the summer before your junior year is an ideal time to start preparing for both the SAT and the PSAT.

Prepping for the PSAT

The PSAT is administered every October. Go into the test knowing what to expect.  Take our PSAT 101 course at the beginning of the school year if you plan to take the PSAT in the fall. Our PSAT 101 course will help you achieve complete mastery of all the concepts tested on the PSAT.

AP Classes and Exams

If you're taking AP courses, make sure you also take the AP exam in May. College admissions officers tend to frown upon AP students who duck out of the actual exams.

SAT Subject Tests

Consider taking SAT Subject Tests in June of your sophomore and/or junior year. It’s best to sit for these exams immediately after you’ve taken the related course in school, so that the material is fresh in your mind.
