Freshmen (class of 2013)

Freshman year is about learning the ropes of high school. Focus on your studies, figure out what subjects interest you most, and get involved in sports and/or extracurricular activities. You don’t need to worry about test prep just yet, but you might want to think about your testing options. See if the ACT is right for you by taking the Princeton Review Assessment (PRA). The PRA features a sampling of questions from the ACT and SAT, exposing you to both tests in a single exam.

Sophomores (class of 2012)

Continue to focus on your academic curriculum. Start thinking about ACT preparation, and take a practice ACT. It's free, you can take it online, and your scores will not be sent to any schools.

If you’re trying to qualify for a National Merit Scholarship, you will have to take the PSAT. Summer is a great time to prepare for the PSAT since the test is only administered in October. Learn more about our PSAT 101 course and PSAT Online Workout.

Juniors (class of 2011)

The ACT Math section introduces material you most likely won’t cover until 11th grade (Algebra II), so the best time to take the ACT is during the spring of your junior year.

Many students choose to prepare the summer before their junior year. It’s a great way to get the bulk of your ACT (and PSAT) prep done while you have more free time—and get ahead of the college admissions game.

We offer flexible course schedules designed to fit your summer lifestyle. Come to class once or twice a week or get it all done in a couple of weeks with our camp courses. We ensure you are completely prepared right up to Test Day. Plus, we ensure you are completely prepared right up to Test Day with a practice test right before the PSAT in the fall and a FREE Refresher course prior to your ACT test date in the spring. Unlike other companies, we provide a review course tailored specifically to our summer students, with a brand new manual and additional full-length practice tests.

We offer a wide variety of course schedules and convenient locations for students who prefer to prep during the school year. If you’re planning to take the PSAT in October, our Junior Year Prep Pack is designed to cover all your test prep needs AND save you money!

You’ll take our PSAT 101 course in early October and then move on to a full-length ACT Comprehensive Classroom Course in the winter or spring of your junior year. Plus, get a jumpstart on your admissions process, with our popular college guidebooks, The Best 371 Colleges and College Essays that Made a Difference.

For more details on how enrolling in our Junior Year Prep Pack will save you money on PSAT and ACT courses, give us a call at 800-2Review (800-273-8439).

Seniors (class of 2010)

There is still time to prep and get a great ACT score, but the fall of your senior year is your last chance to ace the test. Make the choice for a less stressful September by prepping in the summer. It will free up more time later to work on a killer college application.

Did you know that 90% of Princeton Review students get admitted to one of their top-choice schools? Whether you’re taking the test for the first time or just want to boost your score, our summer courses can help you get the score you need. Guaranteed. Plus, all our summer students can brush up on test-taking techniques with our FREE online Wrap-Up and an additional practice test prior to the ACT October test dates.

If you can’t prep over the summer, we recommend you begin preparing for the earliest ACT date that works with your schedule. We have courses starting at the end of August that will prepare you for the October ACT. Be sure to check the deadlines on your college applications so you have plenty of time to send in your scores.
