The Princeton Review helps students, parents, and educators achieve the best results at every stage of their educational careers. By focusing on preparation and practice, we help students improve their performance in the classroom and on standardized tests. Through our website, we help parents, teachers, students and schools navigate the complexities of school admissions.
Our company operates two divisions. The Test Preparation Division prepares students and parents for higher education with test prep courses and tutoring, our website and book publishing, and admissions and financial aid resources. The K-12 Division partners with school districts to offer assessment, intervention and professional development.

K-12 Services
In the current environment of increased educational accountability, schools and districts are focused on making sure all students meet state and national achievement standards.
The Princeton Review believes that every child can achieve. We work hand-in-hand with students, educators and administrators to help close the achievement gap and help students reach their full educational potential. From our roots as one of the largest providers of test preparation services, the Princeton review formed our K-12 Services division in 1999. Today we partner with more than 2,500 urban, suburban and rural schools across the country, including 18 of the 25 largest districts, to help improve student achievement.
Formative Assessment Programs
Ongoing formative assessments, given throughout the year, can identify where and why students are struggling. These low-stakes assessments are different from classroom quizzes, projects or tests, because they provide performance data which can be used to inform all stakeholders – administrators, teachers, parents and students – and plan a course of action. Our Assessment Platform gives educators access to more than 180,000 items aligned to state standards, along with the tools to create and report on assessments.
Intervention Programs
Once formative assessment is analyzed, the appropriate intervention must include quality curriculum and effective instruction targeted at the appropriate level for each student. We've developed SideStreets as a comprehensive, flexible, intervention program that can be used during the day, after school, and for summer programs. The materials incorporate entertaining characters, student journals, and activities to keep students engaged while ensuring they are mastering math and reading basics.
Professional Development
All Princeton Review programs incorporate integrated, ongoing professional support. Our coaching and mentoring helps teachers understand and use assessment results, develop data-driven curriculum and quizzes aligned to state standards; provide classroom management options ranging from large groups to individuals; and individualize instruction for students demonstrating academic needs.
