The Princeton Review 2024 College Hopes & Worries Survey Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY AND NO SURVEY RESPONSE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR RESPONSE TO THE COLLEGE HOPES & WORRIES SURVEY WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. ELIGIBILITY: This 2024 College Hopes & Worries Survey Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry and are currently enrolled in a high school. Individuals who are between 13 and 17 years of age or otherwise considered a minor in their state of residence must obtain their parents’ or legal guardians’ permission prior to participating. Employees, contractors, directors and officers of TPR Education, LLC d/b/a The Princeton Review (“Sponsor”) and its affiliates and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, or sibling) and household members of such individuals are not eligible to participate in or win this Sweepstakes.

2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: This Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on January 16, 2024 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on February 20, 2024.

3. HOW TO ENTER: You will be automatically entered in this Sweepstakes by completing the College Hopes & Worries Survey and providing your name and email address at the following link by February 20, 2024: www.princetonreview.com/go/survey. The time that Sponsor’s system shows as the time of completion of the survey is the official time of receipt of the entry. You may also enter this Sweepstakes by handwriting your name, the name of your parent or guardian if you are a minor, complete address, and email on a postcard and mailing it to: The Princeton Review, 2024 College Hopes & Worries Survey Sweepstakes, 110 East 42nd St., Suite 700, New York, NY 10017. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by February 20, 2024 and received by March 1, 2024. Only one entry per person (either by completing the survey or mail-in-entry, but not both). Incorrect, illegible, or incomplete entries are void. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, or misdirected due to mail delivery service error, Internet, computer, or software malfunction, or other error. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

4. WINNER SELECTION: On or about March 31, 2024, Sponsor will select 1 grand prize winner at random from among all eligible entries received. The winner may be required to execute and return a statement of eligibility and release (except where prohibited) within 7 days of receipt of the document. If a selected winner was not eligible to enter this Sweepstakes, fails to comply with these Official Rules, tampers with the entry process, cannot be reached using the email address provided, fails to sign and return requested documentation within the specified time period, or declines the prize, the selected winner will be disqualified and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner selected in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.

5. ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: The winner will be notified by the email address provided when completing the survey or on the postcard entry.

7. PRIZE: 1 grand prize winner will receive a $3,500 cash prize (approximate retail value of $3,500). The total approximate retail value of all prizes is $3,500. If the winner is a resident of a jurisdiction that deems the winner to be a minor, the prize may be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian on the winner’s behalf. The winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. The winner may be required to supply a Social Security Number prior to the award of the prize. Sponsor may file an IRS Form 1099 with the Internal Revenue Service for the fair market value of any prize.

8. PRIZE FULFILLMENT: If the winner is over the age of 18 (and at or above the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which the winner resides), then a check will be issued in the winner’s name within 4 weeks following receipt of the statement of eligibility and release. If the winner is a minor in the winner’s state of residence, then a check will be issued in the name of the winner’s parent or legal guardian within 4 weeks following receipt of the parent’s or guardian’s statement of eligibility and release.

9. RELEASE: Except where prohibited by law, by entering this Sweepstakes, entrant agrees (a) to release and hold Sponsor, its affiliates, and its and their directors, officers, employees and agents harmless from and against all claims and liability arising out of entrant’s participation in this Sweepstakes or receipt or use of a prize and (b) that under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses.

10. GENERAL: By entering Sweepstakes, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which will be final in all matters. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal and state laws. If Sponsor is prevented from continuing with this Sweepstakes or the integrity or feasibility of this Sweepstakes is undermined by any event or cause not reasonably within Sponsor's control (each a "Force Majeure" event), Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, modify, suspend, or terminate this Sweepstakes without notice or further obligation. If Sponsor elects to terminate this Sweepstakes as a result of a Force Majeure event, Sponsor may elect to hold a random drawing among all eligible entries received up to the time of such termination.

11. GRANT OF RIGHTS: By entering this Sweepstakes, entrant grants Sponsor and its affiliates the right to disclose to any third party or publicly the entrant’s name as the winner if entrant is selected as the winner. For Sponsor's Privacy Policy, go to princetonreview.com/privacy.

12. GOVERNING LAW: This Sweepstakes and the rights and obligations of the Sponsor and entrants will be governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflicts of law principles. All actions, proceedings, or litigation relating hereto will be instituted and prosecuted solely within the State of New York, County of New York. Entrant consents to the jurisdiction of the state courts of New York and federal court located with such state and county with respect to any action, dispute, or other matter pertaining to or arising out of this Sweepstakes.

Please specify “Official Rules” or “Winner List” and this Sweepstakes name on the front of the envelope. VT residents need not include return postage for Official Rules requests.
