    The Optometry Admission Testing Program (OAT) is required for anyone applying for admission to schools and colleges of optometry.

    What specifically does the OAT test?

    The OAT has four tests, covering four different areas: Survey of the Natural Sciences, Reading Comprehension, Physics, and Quantitative Reasoning. See more information about each section..

    How is the OAT scored?

    The OAT provides scaled scores between 200–400. The average score is 300.

    How do I register?

    The best way to register is to go online to www.opted.org. It costs $213 to register.
