Our students must meet high graduation standards, including a rigorous writing and mathematics curriculum, a demanding core curriculum and a real world hands on approach to their program of study. With over 30 student groups to choose from, Johnson State College undergrads are involved in club sports, the campus radio station, the student newspaper, dance ensemble, and dozens of other recreations. Other clubs focus on majors or prospective careers. And yet others strive to service the college or surrounding communities such as our SERVE organization. Men can choose from six varsity sports: basketball, cross-country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, and tennis. Women choose from six: basketball, cross-country, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Johnson State College offers a full complement of intramural and recreation activities for its student body. Intramural activities include both seasonal leagues (i.e. indoor soccer, basketball & floor hockey) and one-night events (i.e. hikes & tournaments).

Johnson has the Badger Bullet, a bio-diesel mini-bus, which provides free transportation to Burlington and back 4 times a week. With prior arrangement the Badger Bullet can drop a student off at the Burlington International Airport, or Waterbury Bus Station.

Driving Instructions to Campus
From I-89 take Vermont exit 10. Head north on RT-100 for 20 miles to Morrisville. West on Route 18 8 miles to Johnson. Take Clay Hill road 1/2 mile and Johnson State College main entrance is on right hand side.
