Admissions Requirements
We require one year each of Biology (plus labs), General Chemistry (plus labs) and Physics (plus labs). We also require one semester of Organic Chemistry (plus lab) and one semester of Biochemistry (lab not required) and one year of Calculus (or one semester of Calculus and one semester of Statistics is acceptable), and 24 semester hours combined of Humanities and/or Social and Behavioral Sciences are required. Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate credits accepted by the applicant’s undergraduate institution may be submitted in lieu of taking the required courses. Johns Hopkins does participate in AMCAS. The secondary application is sent electronically after we have received the verified AMCAS application. The deadline to submit the AMCAS applications is October 15 and the Hopkins secondary must be received by December 1.
