Academics

The AACSB-accredited MBA program at the University of North Dakota is “focused on offering students the resources they need for a flourishing future.” Classes are offered in the afternoon, evening, and long distance and “can easily be fit into your busy schedule.” Many students earn their degrees remotely, through a “convenient online MBA program.” The curriculum at UND focuses on business technology with an opportunity to concentrate in international business. Due to the unique location of the school in Grand Forks, the middle of a large agricultural zone, students are exposed to both rural and big-city business. They are pleased with the school’s state-of-the-art facilities, including modern computer labs and a marketing research center.

Professors are “dedicated and caring.” They “take interest in students and truly care about them.” Students say they are helpful and knowledgeable, and the small classroom size allows for real relationships to develop. They are respectable of students’ lives outside the classroom and help them balance school and life. Professors also “do a very good job connecting the real world to the classroom.” Students believe this is due to their work involvement outside of school. Most professors “have great experiences prior to their professorships and do an excellent job of sharing them.” “Professors are always accessible and have an open-door policy.” Students say they are “great mentors and will be lifelong connections.” “So far every one of them has been helpful and engaging.”

“The administration is professional and very well organized. Overall, my academic experience at the University of North Dakota has been superior to any other university I have attended.” Students also like “the online tutoring center and the outstanding tech support.” Most students agree things run smoothly. Although one student suggests UND could improve “by offering more sections of classes taught during day hours, rather than focusing on night classes.”
