Curriculum / Academic Overview
Academic Calendar: Semester
Degrees Offered: Professional MBA 36-45 Credits (Average 3 years), Emerging Leaders 39-54 Credits (2 Years), Bentley MBA, 11 Months.
Joint / Combined Degrees Offered: Dual Degrees with Professional or Emerging Leaders MBA with MS in Accountancy, Finance, Financial Planning, IT, Marketing Analytics or Taxation. 3 to 5 years.
Concentrations: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems/Information Technology, Leadership/Management, Marketing, MS/MBA -- Dual Degree
Study Abroad Options: The Emerging Leaders MBA has a required Global Business Experience to different locations each year. This year it was Turkey. There are other GBE electives to China, Dubai, Senegal, Bermuda, France, Ireland and Japan. Others are added as they can be.

Research Opportunities in Sustainability: Yes
Description: Students have opportunities to engage in volunteer and occasionally paid research opportunities with faculty involved in sustainability research. Some examples include developing sustainability plans for local businesses and organizations, conducting feasibility studies for integrated composting programs, and feasibility studies for citing wind turbines on/near our campus.
School's environmental commitment:  
1: Bentley University is committed to the following carbon footprint reduction targets (compared to a 2008 baseline): 50% by 2015, 70% by 2020 and 100% by 2030. As of January 1, 2014 we have achieved a 42% reduction in our carbon footprint.
2: Bentley University is committed to an increase in recycling and overall waste deduction. As of January 1, 2014 we have increased our waste diversion rate from 13% in 2012 to 35%.
3: Bentley University is committed to an increase in faculty, student and staff understanding and engagement in sustainability issues. Outreach on various topics is achieved via: social media, a sustainability film series, a monthly newsletter, training offered during new student, faculty and staff orientation, a faculty and staff Eco-Rep program, a student Eco-Rep program, a student-led Green Society (group), a Green (campus) Department Certification Program a Green (student) Groups certification program, student residential electricity-saving competition, among other projects.
