Description: Examples of sustainability courses we offer: "Sustainable Business Practice" focuses on techniques and approaches businesses are using to minimize the environmental impact of their supply chains and to create competitive advantages by incorporating sustainability into their business plans. "Fundamentals of Environmental Science Policy" examines the current state of understanding of environmental science policy through case studies focusing on topics of current interest that reflect analytical principles developed during the course.

Description: The faculty at the William & Mary school & Business are engaged in sustainability research in a variety of areas that include operations, marketing and finance.
School's environmental commitment:  
1: 2013 Fall Conference - Corporate and college Collaborative for Sustainability (3CS) November 7-9, 2013
2: Net Impact Club is focused on sustainability issues for MBA students . This club works closely with our Undergraduate Business Students.
3: The Mason School of Business dedicated its new home, Alan B. Miler Hall, with a public ceremony on October 2, 2009. Miller Hall, designated as a Gold Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Certified building demonstrates the College’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. The William & Mary School of Business practices environmental consciousness by engaging in a voluntary recycling program and we also partner in a “Do One Thing” project with Saatchi & Saatchi S where each student has been asked to commit to doing one thing differently to be sustainable and understanding of corporate social responsibility.

Description:The Mason School of Business has a diverse international community. The International Student Association (ISA) serves as a support system for international students who become a part of our Mason family. The ISA organizes various social and educational events to support and enrich understanding of cultural and national diversity existing in the business school. The ISA is a platform for international students to voice their opinions on various issues in the business school. ISA also provides resources to help international students in their career building activities. Currently, the ISA represents individuals from more than 20 nationalities.
Women Support Groups:Yes
Description:The National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) develops and promotes leadership by creating opportunities for women to establish and achieve their professional goals. NAWMBA generates awareness of the role of female professionals in business and provides forums to share their perspectives and issues. NAWMBA offers excellent opportunities to network with other William and Mary students and visiting guests through its formal events and informal gatherings. The organization also hosts national career fairs and forums, in which our students participate.

Description:The William & Mary School of Business has established a diversity committee under the auspices of the MBA Association that supports recruitment outreach and networking opportunities for diverse candidates. MBA students are active in professional associations including the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) and the National Association of Women’s MBAs (NAWMBA) and they participate in associated activities throughout the year.

Description:The College of William & Mary as a whole offers support for GLBT MBA students through Safe Zone. Safe Zone ensures a safer and freer environment for all members of the community regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Other campus-wide support groups, clubs and organizations include The Lambda Alliance, William & Mary Gay and Bisexual Alumni, The Mosaic House and the College’s Counseling Center.

Description:The collaborative Mason School of Business community fosters an environment that encourages teamwork and peer tutoring. Second-year MBA students, serving as Graduate Assistants, work with first year students to provide tutoring. Accessible faculty, whom are focused on teaching, also encourage peer collaboration.
