Description: “Business, Society and Sustainable Development” is an introductory course on the relationship between businesses and its goals, and the broader local and global society in which firms operate. The framework of sustainable development will be presented as the orienting mechanism. The course will address conceptual issues, as well as specific thematic areas of priority global interest. The goal of the course is to introduce future managers and entrepreneurs to a number of critical issues they will face in aligning their companies’ goals with those of their society. 3: Since 2011 Sustainable RSM have several substantial achievements: - Greening RSM became action-oriented in 2011. - Inaugural Green Thesis Award - winner announced - Earth Day 2011 Art Project: repurposed neck ties of intentions at the GreenEUR shack. - Sustainability Day - apple distribution to students and employees with photo intentions - Eureka Week Stand - awareness and recruitment activity - Creation of a Greening RSM Student Committee - Implementation of the Carbon-offsetting scheme for all RSM employee flights - Green Minute Video Production - Implementation of recycled paper and double-sided printing pre-sets at all printers.
