Degrees Offered: The One-Year Accelerated MBA offers an approach that is innovative and cross disciplinary, one in which student teams take on real world consulting projcts in key competencies in critical business processes as well as leadership and teamwork skills. The separate Gatton Evening Program is designed for working professionals. Students can complete the degree in two years. The approach is practical recognizing that working professionals have opportunities to apply what they learn to their workplace on a daily basis. Description: To provide an overview of the role of sustainability in marketing strategy. We use the triple bottom line perspective to cast sustainability as the simultaneous pursuit of financial, social/relational & environmental performance. The course provides an assessment of current efforts to pursue sustainability with a primary focus on the interaction of the marketing organization with the environment. In the process, we investigate the interaction between consumption & the physical environment. We examine consumption processess in the household, industrial, servives, & transportation sectors of the economy. We subsequently address specific marketing tactics employed by firms seeking to maximize triple bottom line performance.
