Centers of Research: Simmons School of Management also houses the Center for Gender in Organizations (CGO), an innovative research center that analyzes gender dynamics in organizations and focuses on the conditions required for women's success. Through research, educational programs, convening conferences, seminars and workshops, CGO is committed to improving organizational effectiveness by strengthening gender equity for people of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds in both the profit and non-profit sectors worldwide. Description:Simmons School of Management students have access to a designated peer tutor for quantitative and Excel support. Additionally, students can use the College Writing Center which offers one-on-one tutoring, workshops and presentations designed to strengthen students' academic reading, writing, critical thinking, and research skills. The Center works with faculty across schools and programs to address students' academic and discipline-specific writing needs.

Description:Simmons MBA was designed specifically for women so the program includes a high level of support/focus in both curricular and co-curricular activities. Students engaged in research with School of Management faculty and the Center for Gender and Organizations. There are numerous events focused on women -- women in leadership, women entrepreneurs, women in finance, etc. The college hosts an annual Leadership Conference that brings together women from around the world and features speakers and workshops with women leaders in all areas of business, non-profit, entrepreneurship, entertainment and the arts.
