Other Special Study Options:
All COA students are required to complete a term-long senior project - essentially a thesis involving independent research or exploration, or a creative endeavor conducted on their own, under the auspices of a faculty member or outside mentor. All students also must complete an internship. COA offers regular study abroad programs in Mexico, Guatemala, and France. We are members of the EcoLeague - a consortium agreement with five other colleges for student exchanges (Alaska Pacific University, Dickinson College, Green Mountain College, Northland College, Prescott College). And we offer exchange programs with University of Maine at Orono, SALT Institute for Documentary Studies, and National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).
