The Newark International Airport is approximately 20 miles from campus. Taxis and rental cars are available at the airport. The Amtrak train and public bus station is 2 blocks from the Undergraduate admissions office.

From the New Jersey Tpke., take Exit 9 and follow signs for Rte. 18 N./New Brunswick. To get to the College Ave. campus, proceed 2.5 miles along Route 18 N., past Rte. 27, to the second George St. exit, marked George St.-Rutgers University. For visitors parking, bear left on exit ramp, then turn left at the light onto George St. and proceed 3 blocks to Somerset St. Turn right through the entrance gate.

A very expensive Hyatt Regency (2 Albany St.; 732-873-1234) is about 3 blocks from campus. It has a health center, a pool, a sauna, tennis courts, basketball, a jazz quartet on the weekends, and a pianist during the week. For a more reasonably priced option, try the Quality Inn (1850 Easton Ave., Somerset; 732-469-5050). It has a special inexpensive rate for university visitors. The inn, 3 miles from campus, has a full health club and Olympic-size pool. It is close to shopping and near bus service to Rutgers.
