Local Accommodations: Near By:
If you fly into Cleveland a 45-minute drive from The College of Wooster you may be tempted to stay the night in Cleveland and push off in the morning for the campus. Don't do it! You'll miss the chance to stay at some very nice places in and around Wooster. The perfect choice for visiting the college is the Wooster Inn (801 E. Wayne Ave.; 330-264-2341. It's just 2 blocks from campus, and the college's athletic facilities, including a golf course, are available to guests at the inn. Rates are moderate and include a full breakfast. For a pleasant and inexpensive bed-and-breakfast within walking distance (5 blocks) of the college, try the Gasche House (340 North Bever Street; 330-264-8231). This is a beautifully restored 141-year-old Victorian, with four-poster beds and period furniture. The price includes a continental breakfast. If you are not a bed-and-breakfast type, but want an inexpensive place to stay in Wooster, try the Econo Lodge (2137 Lincoln Way East; 330-264-8883).
Local Accommodations: Far Away:
Just 22 miles away is the Inn at Honey Run (Millersburg; 800-468-6639 in Ohio or 330-674-0011). Honey Run offers a variety of rates from moderate to expensive (continental breakfast included). The inn's earth-shelter rooms (described in the Kenyon entry) may be of interest to you. Take something other than jeans to wear in the evening more formal attire is in order.
