Port Columbus International Airport is a 25-minute drive from campus, depending on traffic. Taxis are available at the airport for the trip; some hotels run regular shuttles from the airport into town. Greyhound buses serve downtown Columbus; no passenger train service is available.

Routes I-70, I-670, and I-71 intersect or join State Rt. 315. Exit 315 at Lane Ave. Travel east (left if you are traveling south on 315 or right if you are traveling north on 315) on Lane Ave. to Fyffe Road. Turn south (right) on Fyffe Road to Woody Hayes Drive. Turn east (left) on Woody Hayes Dr. to College Rd. Turn south (right) on College Rd. to 12th Ave. Turn west (right) on 12th Ave. The Student Visitor Center is located on the right. When you check in, you will be given a parking pass.

Just across the street from the university (its northern edge) is the moderately priced Holiday Inn on the Lane (328 W. Lane Ave.; 800-465-4329 or 614-294-4848). A free shuttle service will bring you to a hotel from the airport. The University Plaza Hotel (3110 Olentangy River Rd.; 877-677-5292 or 614-267-7461) is convenient and moderately priced too. An inexpensive motel 1.5 miles away is Cross Country Inn-OSU North (3246 Olentangy River Rd.; 800-621-1429 or 614-267-4646). Because Ohio State is located in Columbus, one of Ohio's major cities, there are a variety of places to stay. They range from the inexpensive Red Roof Inn (441 Ackerman Rd.; 800-843-7663 or 614-267-9941), to the Hyatt Regency of Columbus (350 N. High St.; 800-233-1234 or 614-463-1234) an expensive hotel with the usual amenities.
