Bottom line

Centenary’s applicant pool has grown substantially over the past decade, allowing the school to become more selective in its admissions process. The school’s reputation is very solid, and they do a nice job of enrolling those it admits. Centenary takes great pride in treating each applicant as an individual; the application process is very personalized, and the school encourages all interested students to visit. Academics are “extremely rigorous and thorough,” with a very competitive curriculum. Professors teach every class, and two-thirds of faculty members have their PhD’s. Three-quarters of freshmen return for their sophomore years, and about half go on to pursue graduate studies.
