Bottom line

Brooklyn College provides students with an excellent education for a cost that will not break any banks—piggy or otherwise. Fortunately, in-state tuition runs only $5,700 or so; out-of-state credit hours are around $450 each. Perhaps most importantly, the institution is able to meet 99 percent of all need. Undergraduates average nearly $4,000 in need-based gift aid; financial aid packages generally come to about $7,500.
