The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art

Tuition & Aid
Bottom line

Students are accepted on the basis of merit alone, and every student receives a full-tuition scholarship currently valued at $35,000 annually. Students must still pay a number of fees, including room and board for dorm residents (available to underclassmen only), which vary based on school. For the art and architecture schools, a commuter will pay around $6,445, and on-campus and off-campus residents will pay around $20,000, depending on rent. For the engineering school, a commuter will pay about $7,245, and on-campus and off-campus residents will pay around $20,000, depending on rent. Health insurance adds an additional $1,275 for those that require it. Financial aid is available to assist with payment of all fees.
