Other:At the United States Military Academy all students receive a full scholarship, including room & board and medical- and dental-care are provided by the U.S. Army. The only cost for students is a one-time deposit upon admission to defray the initial costs of uniforms, books, supplies, and equipment and fees; however cadets are on Active Duty Status as members of the U.S. Army and receive an annual salary. A cadet’s salary pays for uniforms, activities, services, books, and various other personal items and services. . If needed loans of $100 to $2,000 are available for the deposit. Upon graduation, cadets are commissioned officers and obligate to five years of active-duty and three years of reserve duty in the U.S. Army.%
