Research Centers: The WSU CVM excels in research of benefit to animal and human health and well being. In fiscal year 2003, the CVM faculty conducted nearly $11 million dollars in competitively funded research, placing us in the top tier of all veterinary schools. We are poised to strategically strengthen our research programs to better serve society through research and the acquisition and dissemination of new knowledge. Organized thematic and programmatic research areas, which reflect the larger team and interdisciplinary character of modern agricultural and biomedical research, include food- and water-borne diseases, neurobiology, vector-borne diseases, immunology and infectious diseases, and microbial genomics and proteomics.
