With regards to the social side of life here, we’re told that you can “always [count on] a party.” Indeed, “Emory Law and Emory grad students in general definitely know how to have a great time.” The school itself hosts a number of events including “bar review Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights” which frequently occur in “fun spots throughout the city.” Additionally, a content first-year quickly informs us that “as all good law schools should, we have a keg…every Thursday afternoon.” Outside of casual drinking, students love partaking in the “Halloween party [and] Harvest Moon Ball” as well as the “Barrister’s Ball, a fabulous black-tie gala.” Of course, there’s much to experience off-campus too. A first-year boasts that hometown Atlanta “is an absolute blast” and it’s cer¬tainly easy to be “impressed with what the city has to offer.” As a fellow student explains, “There are theaters, art museums, art and music festivals, concerts, tons of hiking, and great shopping. You are in law school, but in a picturesque setting 10 minutes from a world class city with something for everyone. I can say without a doubt that Atlanta offers more to do than I will ever have time for in three years.”
