School-Supported Research Centers or Resources
  • A state-of-the-art virtual microscopy lab is available to students in the Secchia Center. Medical students may engage in research projects during medical school. Students seeking research opportunities must be committed to intellectual curiosity and the persistence required to discover new knowledge. Block I and Block II medical students may secure individual research opportunities by contacting medical science faculty in both clinical and basic science departments. Many students volunteer to assist in research projects without payment to receive valuable research mentoring. There are, however, some paid graduate research assistantships available.
