Student Opinion Honors - Operations

Operations

Operations management deals with the production and distribution of goods and services. Operations managers oversee the management of resources, the efficiency of business operations, and the quality of products and services. While the field of marketing deals with the creation of demand for particular goods and services, the function of the operations department within a company is the production and delivery of the product. Additionally, operations managers look at cost and inventory management to optimize workflow and processes.
