Career Experience
Some of my career experience as a writing tutor includes: providing feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students; reviewing class material with students by discussing texts, working solutions to problems, and reviewing worksheets and other assignments; assessing students' progress throughout tutoring sessions; and helping students develop strategies to work through all points of the writing process and to help students grow as writers.
I Love Tutoring Because
I have always wanted to teach. I believe that every person deserves an education and that every student, at every stage of life, deserves equitable treatment in that education. I believe that everyone is capable of learning and attaining knowledge — regardless of who they are, who they have been told they are, what they have been told they can do, or how society at large has labeled them — and I love tutoring because I am able to teach my tutees in a way that allows me to live up to this teaching philosophy.
