Career Experience
As a recent college graduate, I've done some bouncing around between working in research and education. During my undergraduate studies, I interned with a local non-profit nature center, NOAA, and Yale. I also worked as a TA in the biology department, with a focus on evolution. Since graduating, I worked as a private tutor, and recently finished a contracted position as a lab tech at a local environmental testing lab tech position. Currently, I'm moving back into tutoring as a make preparations to attend graduate school.
I Love Tutoring Because
I love that tutoring allows me to share my passion for STEM outside the confines of a typical classroom setting. We can focus in on both areas of struggle and interest, and I live for those "light-blub moments" when a concept finally clicks. I know from personal experience that sometimes even a subject we typically excel in can still have its obstacles - that doesn't mean it's the wrong subject for you, or that you should give up - it makes it even more rewarding to continue forward!
