Career Experience

I began working with children as a camp counselor and supervisor, and that led to a career in teaching first grade for eight years until I had my family. I've been a stay at home mom for 10 years, and will return to the classroom as a substitute next year when my youngest starts school full time! I've been with Tutor.com since 2010, assisting students with their essays and English homework, and, more recently, Spanish!

I Love Tutoring Because

it is amazing to be able to help students all over the country (and sometimes farther!) from my own home. I've probably learned as much from them as they have from me; some of the essays are so interesting and informative, and others tug at the heart. I love it when students ask questions, wanting to know WHY a correction has been made; I know these students are here to learn, to improve their skills, and I'm honored and humbled to be a part of their quest.

She is great with younger kids. My daughter loves tutoring with her tutor, she makes it fun so that the children are engaged and learning at the same time.
