Career Experience

For over ten years I have been tutoring and teaching college level writing to students of all backgrounds including English language learners. I help students manage, understand, and assess their own writing processes. I teach students strategies for handling multiple writing situations, audiences, purposes, and forms applicable both in and out of the classroom. My goal is to create a positive learning environment in which students develop a sense of agency and self-actualization in their roles as writers. I constantly adapt and evolve to better reach my students and help them understand and practice the concepts we cover. I always consider my students’ success as a marker of my own, and I learned that positivity and deep listening are cornerstones to my students’ success.

I Love Tutoring Because

it's incredibly rewarding to help people achieve greater levels of success and increase their skills. Writing is a valuable tool that we use throughout our lives; I love sharing my knowledge and expertise so that others can communicate more effectively and reach their goals.
