Career Experience
I have been teaching since 2001 when I started teaching at the college level. I have taught at community colleges and four-year universities. I transitioned into teaching concurrent enrollment classes at an early college high school three years ago. I teach a variety of subjects, ranging from English (literature and composition) to Art Appreciation and Art History to World Mythologies and Humanities/History. Next semester I will even venture into teaching Political Science classes. For the last ten years or so, I have also tutored in most subjects.
I Love Tutoring Because
I love seeing that "ah-ha" moment when someone finally understands a concept. I do see this moment when I'm in the classroom, but working one-on-one or with small groups, I can appreciate that moment more. Also, watching scholars being able to articulate their ideas well is another victory. When I am able to guide someone in their research and writing, it feels like I have done what I was created to do.
