Teaching, teaching, teaching.....that's been a big part of my career. I have taught English online for 15 years, and I have also taught in person at universities in New Jersey. In addition to teaching college students, I have worked with younger students as well through teaching an arts and crafts group for 20 years. I have experience in my field as a newspaper and magazine writer.

I Love Tutoring Because

I want to help people to realize their potential. My philosophy is that I am like a driver and you, the student, are the hitchhiker. I want to take you as far as I can, so that you can continue farther. I want to help you reach your goals and even beyond.

When I first used Tutor.com my sessions were over 30 mins. That gave us enough time for the tutor to review the paper and directions and we would have time to work through the paper together. This time we hadn't even gotten through the thesis statement when she said the session was ending. I asked why and she said the school has it set up for 20 min. sessions. That clearly wasn't what happened with my earlier experiences with this service. When a tutor takes 10 mins. to review the paper and directions, 10 mins. isn't enough time to do anything of substance.
