Career Experience

I have been a tutor in languages and the humanities since 2013, tutoring students from ages 7-60 in 3 states and 2 countries. We shoot for all kinds of goals my students bring to the table, from high school tests to bar tending, from basic literacy to international visa exams. I have also been an elementary school teacher in a bilingual program, giving me the opportunity to see the way language affects our learning as humans.

I Love Tutoring Because

I love seeing the look of revelation on my students' faces, or hearing a sigh of relief or triumph when they understand something. I love seeing them attain their goals and move on to other things they want to do in their lives. I love helping my students understand that not understanding a subject on the first try does not mean that they can't figure it out and feel good about themselves again.
