After practicing electrical engineering and patent law for 25 years, I have been tutoring for the last 15 years. In addition to tutoring students in physics, mathematics, engineering, and law, I have also successfully tutored computer science courses for AP, college, and graduate students.

I Love Tutoring Because

I enjoy working with small groups of students and taking part in their successes. Students I have worked with have gone from hating mathematics to looking forward to having the teacher call on them in class. It is very rewarding to be a part of those "I get it" moments.

Originally was a little concerned as there seemed be a misunderstanding about what I was asking for help with, causing me to lose valuable tutoring time that could have been used more effectively. When finally getting my point across, the tutor mentioned how he googled a problem to get an answer, which gave me some cause for concern there as well. However as time went on, I was able to get help with all of my solutions and he was able to provide the help required

My initial tutor seemed to be having issues helping me solve my problem. I was able to transfer to a different tutor who had given me some excellent feedback. For some reason, even after going over a concept and confirming with the tutor that the answers should be correct, they didn't end up being correct. It's okay though, it may be the website's fault. This tutor overall was thorough in explanations, though.

i thought the teachers were very smart and knew how to tackle the problems immediately. one thing i would reccomend is to allow higher resolution images to be put on the board because the quality can be hard for tutors to read when looking at pdf and images.
