Career Experience
Tutoring was the first job I applied for after leaving high school and starting college. I started out tutoring remedial math courses, but I also wanted to tutor Calculus 1 and 2 to have a good understanding of how different kinds of students receive math instruction. I have since tutored a variety of math courses, and for the past few years, I have been teaching as a teaching associate at a local university.
I Love Tutoring Because
...it isn't as stressful as a classroom setting. I can be much more casual with my language helping students to feel more comfortable. While I have experience teaching, I find I can make more of an impact with one-on-one interactions.
