Career Experience

My undergraduate and graduate work are in history and mass media studies. Career-wise, my experiences are rather varied. There's tutoring, of course, but also freelance journalism in the tech entertainment industry, along with PR work and media research.

I Love Tutoring Because

I enjoy sharing the knowledge and research skills I have acquired. I dealt with a lot of "can'ts" in school, either because something just didn't click or because failure made me think I couldn't do it. During college, I got some help in areas I usually struggled in, which led to one of those light-bulb moments: I could do it. Helping students overcome those barriers in their own academic lives is what it's all about for me, because finally making it over that obstacle is an experience that extends far beyond the classroom and impacts daily life too.
