Career Experience

My most recent teaching experience has been as a guest lecturer for college-aged students and classroom teacher for middle and high school-aged students in Istanbul, Turkey. My focus was on Middle East and African history and religious history in the MENA region. Prior to that I was the head of early education for a school in the United States, which allowed me to hone my skills in curriculum development and learning methods.

I Love Tutoring Because

I love the "light bulb" moment when a student suddenly grasps a concept with which he or she was struggling. I know this is the opening of a door of opportunity for them to explore new knowledge territory and reach new levels of understanding about the world around them.

My tutor was very nice and was able to understand what I was trying to say just by asking me a few simple questions. Not only that she told me that overall my paper was good. My other teachers have seemed to hate my writing so this was a relief. It made me actually feel good about my writing and how I can just adjust a few things.
