Career Experience
I have been an RN for 30 years. I have years of experience in pediatrics, peritoneal dialysis, and informatics. I currently work as a clinical systems analyst in the information technology (IT) department at a Trauma 1 county hospital. My job is creating and developing provider/nursing documentation tools in electronic medical record for different parts of the facility such as emergency room, nursing units, and ambulatory settings. I train/tutor associates throughout my facility as well as assist with the regulatory requirements to meet joint commission standards.
I Love Tutoring Because
I get to see the students not only learn the material but understand how the pieces fit together. I also like to tutor because it teaches me new content and a new way of looking at the old content that I learned so many years ago. I want to give back to my profession and tutor new students.
