Career Experience
I've worked for two years as a database application coordinator, in which I primarily worked with Microsoft Access alongside SQL to manage and maintain databases by improving tables, fixing bugs, and adding to the front-end. I also know programming languages C++, Python, and HTML and am currently pursuing a career in software development.
I Love Tutoring Because
I've always had a lot of respect for teachers, as well as the work that goes into making educational material. I've also experienced first-hand how frustrating it can be to grasp concepts you're struggling with when all you have to help is the notes you may or may not understand. While I've never formally been a tutor before now, one of my most memorable college moments took place on the final day of my Differential Equations class, when the whole class was gathering together to cram for the final. In the panic of the last thirty minutes to understand the most recently learned concepts, I came up to the whiteboard and went through it step-by-step, a move that I was told saved some students' grades afterward. The experience stuck with me enough that I'd like to carry that spirit forward.
