Career Experience
I have worked with students from a range of abilities through volunteer work. From 2018 to 2020, I volunteered at a semi-educational extracurricular program for elementary through high school aged students with Autism or Downs Syndrome. In the past year, I've spent much of my free time volunteering with elementary aged students from homeless backgrounds to help them learn, study, and solve homework problems. In regards to higher education fields, I worked on ongoing research in computational organic chemistry applicable to the biomedical field during the spring and fall semesters of 2022.
I Love Tutoring Because
I believe every student should have the opportunity to learn and achieve their goals. As someone with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher, I know the importance of learning topics by applying an interdisciplinary perspective. I think tutoring provides a great opportunity for students to learn in the style and format that best fits them, and I think that that kind of setting is invaluable to learning. I've always loved helping students of all ages learn, and my goal for the future is to become a 2nd or 3rd grade science teacher.
