Career Experience

Before becoming a tutor, I was a student affairs intern. At this job, I was responsible for performing office duties and leading guided tours around campus. I became very adept at anticipating the needs of students and parents. I worked in customer service, where I served a diverse group of people. These jobs allowed me to multitask and respond to questions in a quick and competent manner. I also have extensive experience in editing the works of others.

I Love Tutoring Because

helping students is a great passion of mine. I value education and believe it enhances a person's mind in numerous ways. Being able to assist a student in understanding educational concepts is very rewarding.

I think the professor should be clear with the writing center on what the expectations are. I'm getting mix messages. The professor's feedback does not match up with the writing center support. Just wish the professor's expectations are aligned with the tutor staff. Thanks!
