Special Programs Offered To Recruit Underrepresented Minority Students Or Students With Disadvantaged Backgrounds
Come Home to Alaska (allows students with parents or grandparents in Alaska to pay resident tuition rates, regardless of where those students live)
UA Scholars Program (offers a $12,000 scholarship awarded to students in the top ten percent of their Alaska high school class at the end of the junior year). This favors students from rural areas, given small school sizes.
Note that these programs are for undergraduate students only, although UAF undergrads are a key population for continuing open to UAF graduate studies; as such undergrad recruitment programs impact graduate programs such as CBSM's MBA.
