Academics

The Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford boasts an outstanding reputation,” “successful alumni” and a “flexible program.” Hartford MBA students are privy to a myriad of “class options” that frequently place an emphasis on “practical application.” Even better, they receive a top notch education at a relatively “low cost.” A number of students are also grateful that they are able to select a course schedule that “accommodate[s] work…[and] family life.” There are many “evening” and “online” classes which make it easy to retain a full-time job. Regardless of how they meet their requirements, these future MBAs are virtually guaranteed to find classes that are “small enough that you are able to network and have established communication with your professor and classmates but large enough for a diverse discussion.” They’ll also discover “engaging” instructors who are “knowledgeable” and “want you to…succeed.” Hartford professors continually prove themselves to be “innovative” and “up to speed on current issues.” Moreover, they often act as “mentors.” Students also speak highly of the administration. As one student sums up, “The Dean of the business school has done an outstanding job with the program since his start and has truly been engaging with faculty, staff, and students to ensure a quality education. It isn’t common to have this much communication with someone so high level at a university but it has made all of the difference.”
