Admissions Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in both Spanish and English. This is essential, as lectures are conducted in the language preferred by the respective professor, most often Spanish. In addition, Spanish is necessary for most clinical work. Applicants must complete a minimum of 90 credits at an institution of higher education. A baccalaureate degree is highly recommended. Required premedical course are: General Biology (8 credit hours), General Chemistry (8 hours), Organic Chemistry (8 hours), Physics (8 hours), college-level Math (6 hours), English (12 hours), Spanish (6 hours), and Behavioral Sciences and Social Sciences (12 hours). The MCAT is required. Officials exam results from within the past two years must be submitted to the School of Medicine.
