A member of the California State University System, California State University— Fresno's Craig School of Business offers "an education that rivals the top universities at a fraction of the cost." Many, if not most of those who attend Craig are working professionals, and the school's curriculum "works well with a full-time work schedule," including night and weekend classes. Fresno State employs world-class educators who have real world experience working with/managing companies, such as: HP, Rug Doctor and dozens more, and "many of the professors have owned their own companies and have experience outside of just their focus. "The "absolutely outstanding" faculty gives "consistently solid instruction" and brings "an incredible amount of work experience and knowledge in regards to their respective business fields." Many were "very successful business people who teach because who love it," and "it is wonderful to hear their life lessons shared with the students." "My experience has exceeded my expectations before I started the program," says one student. Everybody is willing to learn, "even the professors," whose genuine excitement about what they do rubs off on the student body. The "very astute" professors have "crystal clear and inspirational instructions" and leave memorable impressions on students. "I have encountered some professors I plan to keep in contact with for years to come," says one.

The "well-run" administration is more than understanding of how busy its students' lives are; at one point, "the program staff handled all of the paperwork so that we students didn't need to worry about them." Class sizes are small, so "you can get as much personal attention as you want," and it's "easy to get classes" of your choice. "I've learned a lot of interesting, applicable concepts at Fresno State," says a student.

Students Say

The prestige and recognition of the CSU Fresno name in the business world is a huge boon to graduates, and the school's "pay to tuition ratio is among the best." The Career Services Office "gives the students ample opportunity to find great jobs as well as over- seas experience." Most already have jobs when they choose to attend Fresno State, but there are many group projects that are required, so students find that a great deal of natural networking occurs throughout the course of the program. Students are required to take three elective courses, and one of their internships may be used as an upper division elective towards their degrees. Specializations are available in agribusiness, entrepreneurship, finance, general management, human resource management, informa- tion systems, and marketing. Alumni are also especially useful to Craig graduates, and job offers are frequently posted for graduates via Craig's various social networking sites.

Students Say

Virtually every student here "is working full-time and going to school full-time," which "makes it easier to relate to one another." This "ethnically diverse" group is all "at dif- ferent phases of their careers," and ranges from "professionals with young families up to people in their forties with already established careers," including "VPs of companies, HR managers, entrepreneurs, stay-at-home moms, sales executives, and more." All are "willing to learn and want to learn along with you" and are "open to meeting new people and making new friends." Each "very eclectic" class represents "right, left and middle political points of view," making for a "fun mixture."

Life is "very busy" when classes are in session, with many local people swarming about and "a lot of activities available." A lot of the MBA students went to undergrad at CSU Fresno and live locally. There are "many social and health wellness fairs throughout the semester," and there is also "a pub that serves wine and beer" for students who "enjoy mingling socially with their classmates" over a drink.
