Students Say

The MBA program at CSU San Bernadino provides its students with notable flexibility and value in addition to reliable educational quality. Students, many of whom are California locals, often choose CSUSB for its "affordability and location," and always for its "good reputation" within an established university. Professors are "helpful" and relevant; they "incorporate and acknowledge changing academic and business trends" within their curricula. "Our school's greatest strengths are its faculty, staff, and professors. These folks do everything they can to develop school pride." Similarly, CSUSB students find their classmates to be "professional, active in class, participatory, challenging" people with whom they share "quality interactions." Though many students find CSUSB's quarter system to be a "short time period to get a good grasp of a subject," they also report that "as long as you go with the flow and do the work," the MBA program is "outstanding." "My class sizes have been small to manageable, and my professors have been helpful and available." The faculty and CSUSB's "very strong entrepreneurial program" are called out by students as particular assets of the program, as well as the "good library." "The workload is very heavy," to be sure, but students feel they get "great value for [their] money" out of the intensity of a CSUSB MBA experience.

Students Say

CSUSB offers an "accelerated traditional MBA program" that can prove worthwhile for students who don't have time to wait to get to the next phase of their careers, and the school's "low cost" can also certainly help students reach their desired income bracket fast- er. But CSUSB's real impact on its students' futures often comes in the form of relationships with professors and administrators: "It was a shock to get such good educators and men- tors along my journey. I am very pleased with my education and my career opportunities have doubled in availability and salary." It's equally true that, as an MBA student, your classmates will become your colleagues, and CSUSB students appreciate these "outgoing and supportive" classmates, who are "eager to succeed and [to] take on new challenges, self-motivated," and "talented in their respective fields." Some "big employers of CSUSB graduates" include "the County of San Bernardino, Omnitrans, ESRI, and Stater Bros."

Campus Life

Students Say

For many students, CSUSB is a "commuter school with students working as well as attend- ing school," meaning that the school may seem to have an "older [than] average student body" and that some students "do not stay on campus once classes are done." However, this flexibility is essential for working "professionals, change-of-career students," those who "have families," and "foreign students." "Balancing work and school is tough," but "a student can do as much or as little as they wish to get as much from their education as possible." Students find their educational environment enriched by their peers, who are "pleasant," "helpful, and concerned about being good colleagues," and "good people overall." They appreciate having diversity as a part of their MBA experience: "My fellow students come from a diverse set of backgrounds such as China, Asia, India, and Saudi Arabia. They also have far-ranging career fields from pastors to former bankers." And it can't be denied that Southern California's climate and beauty appeal to students, who call the university's "natural setting" a strength: "When people come to campus it feels you are in touch with nature."
