About the Partnership
On July 9, 2025, Energage—the HR-technology company behind the Top Workplaces recognition program—and The Princeton Review announced a new collaboration to launch the Top Workplaces for Higher Education award. This national honor highlights colleges and universities that build and sustain people-first workplace cultures where faculty, staff, and administrators feel engaged, valued, and empowered to thrive. Purpose and Scope
This initiative recognizes higher education institutions that invest in creating vibrant workplace environments rooted in trust and purpose. Honorees are evaluated based on confidential employee feedback collected through Energage’s research-backed Workplace Survey methodology.
Participation and Timeline
Eligible institutions include four-year colleges and universities with at least 150 employees and a minimum response rate of 35% on the survey. Nominations are free and open through September 5, 2025 . Top Workplaces for Higher Education winners will be announced in early 2026.

It also expands Energage’s broader Top Workplaces program, which recognizes exceptional organizational health and employee experience based entirely on verified employee feedback.
