The tutor I was paired with was not only patient, but ensured that I was aware of why I was answering the way I was answering before proceeding. If I was unsure of an answer, even if I got it right the tutor offered an explanation as to why the answer was correct so that I was no longer putting the answer forward as a guess. This session was overall an amazing experience.

I believe this tutor knew what they were talking about. I believe my book and teacher were incorrect, and my tutor felt they could not help me.
