Career Experience
I am a master’s-prepared nurse educator with a passion for helping students grow in confidence and competence. My background includes a diverse range of nursing roles—med-surg, ICU, leadership, and supervision—as well as experience supporting students in a K-12 school district. These roles have given me a strong foundation in clinical judgment, communication, and the ability to break down complex concepts in a way that makes learning approachable. Currently, I work as a nursing educator, where I guide students through the challenges of developing critical-thinking skills, mastering pharmacology, and preparing for safe clinical practice. Tutoring allows me to take that same supportive approach and work with students one-on-one, helping them identify their strengths, fill in knowledge gaps, and reach their academic goals. I love helping students experience those “aha” moments when everything clicks. My goal is to create a comfortable, encouraging learning environment where students feel empowered, capable, and ready to succeed in their coursework and future nursing careers.
I Love Tutoring Because
it gives me the opportunity to help students build confidence, strengthen critical-thinking skills, and truly understand the “why” behind nursing concepts. Watching a student go from feeling unsure to having that lightbulb moment is one of the most fulfilling experiences in education.
