Career Experience

I spent several years working in the hospitality industry to begin my work career, specifically in a hotel front office setting. My tenure there taught me patience, accountability, and the importance of having a singular focus on the customer -- the lifeblood of any business. I followed that up with twelve-plus years of employment at a four-year higher education institution, in a business office operations capacity. A beautiful public liberal arts college, it presented me with a wonderful opportunity to engage with many interesting people, as I both worked there and furthered my education in my off-hours.

I Love Tutoring Because

one person at a time, I feel as though I can make a genuine difference in someone's learning comprehension. It's quite different from the group setting of a classroom or lecture hall. A personal connection can provide a measure of support and insight that may well serve to put a particular learner over the top in their educational success.
