Students Say

The Rady School of Management at the University of California San Diego maintains a “strong reputation,” attracts “stellar faculty,” and is in a “beautiful location.” More specifically, many students are drawn to the Rady School for its “highly valued entrepreneurial program,” which places an “emphasis on innovation” and encourages a “big startup culture.” In fact, there are “multiple school-supported early stage incubators available to…students.” Additionally, the Rady School has a “strong…focus” on “data analytics,” which students here find incredibly useful. A large number also appreciate the “convenience of [the] weekend MBA” which allows students to retain their current job. As if all of the above wasn’t enough, these future MBAs have high praise for their “amazing” professors, who are “easy to reach and excited to help students even after the course they teach is completed.” They are “dedicated to the students and bring real world, relevant examples to class daily.” Not to be outdone by the faculty, the administration “is responsive to student’s needs and strives to move the entire school forward.”

Campus Life

Students Say

Social and educational options abound at the Rady School. Certainly, there are “numerous…clubs and associations” in which students can participate. In addition to the aforementioned “seminars” and “networking opportunities,” it’s common for Rady students to plan events on their own. For example, “after every final, the majority of the class meets at the one on-campus bar to celebrate.” “Rady is located on the North end of [the UC San Diego] campus with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean” and is only “a 10-minute walk [from] the beach.” Finally, “there is never a shortage of activities or great times to be had” within San Diego proper. When it comes to their peers, Rady students delight in sharing that they are “practical, business-minded individuals who also like to have fun.” They continually demonstrate themselves to be “passionate,” “creative,” and “extremely easy to work with.” What’s more, Rady School MBAs hail from “diverse backgrounds.” You’ll find “veterans, PhDs, CEOs, innovators” and plenty of “international” students too. Best of all, we’ve been assured that “everyone does what they can to help each other and ask for help when needed.” As one content student explains, “Within the first week of classes, we became a family of sorts.”
